Terri Pierce
Terri is a native of Oklahoma. She came to the mountains of Western North Carolina by way of Dallas, San Francisco and Fort Lauderdale. In 2011, Terri celebrated her tenth anniversary with Kight Law. She enjoys camping, golf, reading, music, gardening and horror movies. She makes her home in Waynesville, North Carolina with her family and a menagerie of animals.
Courtney Degennaro
Courtney comes to Asheville from Atlanta, where she graduated Emory University in 2006 with a degree in Sociology and a specific focus on social problems and social inequality. After four years as the business and studio manager of a yoga & Pilates studio in Decatur, Georgia, the opportunity to move to Asheville and join Kight Law Office arose. Courtney happily jumped at the chance to pursue a new direction and return to her passion of helping people to better their circumstances. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, knitting, theatre, dancing, and exploring her new city.
Rebecca Chappell
Becky obtained a Bachelor Degree in Political Science, Magna Cum Laude, from the Kennesaw State University. A deep interest in environmental and social justice issues led Rebecca to pursue a law degree from the University of Colorado. While in law school, Becky focused on Natural Resource and Federal Indian Law. As a third year law student she worked as an intern at DNA People’s Legal Services while living on the Navajo Reservation. Following Law School, Becky spent several years working for the U.S. Forest Service as a wildland firefighter. She now enjoys living in western North Carolina with her husband and two children and is very happy to be a part of the Kight Law Office family.
Ashley Poteet Kight
Ashley, the firm’s bookkeeper and paralegal, is Rod’s wife and First Grade sweetheart. She grew up in North Augusta, SC, a few streets over from Rod. After graduating from high school she moved across the river to Augusta, GA where she lived until moving to Asheville, NC in May 2010. She and Rod were married in May, 2011 and combined their families. They enjoy raising their 5 children together. Ashley is an actress who also has a passion for decorating and throwing impromptu theme parties.
